Cris Howard
Cris Howard, MBA, MEd, PMP is a proven project management executive with demonstrated ability to articulate innovative vision, inspire wide-scale change, and deliver operational excellence within the biopharmaceutical industry.
Before embarking on her Appalachian Trail adventure, Cris transformed a struggling project management department at Labcorp into a pivotal component the company’s agile business strategy, achieving $11.7M operating cost savings within two years. Simultaneously, she expanded the department from 40 to 300 employees in 25 countries. Today, Cris leads pipeline project management for a portfolio of bacterial-based vaccines and monoclonal antibodies at GlaxoSmithKline.
Cris is globally recognized as a project management expert. She has been a paid keynote speaker in Asia, Europe, South America and the United States. While on faculty at Johns Hopkins University - Carey Business School, Cris was honored with the McDonald Award for Teaching & Mentoring. As a board member of Drug Information Association (DIA), Cris co-developed the biopharmaceutical project management certificate program to supplement the PMP certification.
A Phi Beta Kappa, Cris has an MBA from Ohio University; a MEd from The University of Texas at Austin; and a BA in Industrial Psychology from Rhodes College.
