Dr. Deborah Gross

Deborah Gross is the Leonard and Helen Stulman Endowed Professor in Mental Health & Psychiatric Nursing at Johns Hopkins School of Nursing. She is best known for her work on supporting parents and families with young children, particularly in low-income and underserved communities.

At Johns Hopkins, she holds joint appointments in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences in the School of Medicine, and the Department of Mental Health in the Bloomberg School of Public Health.

She has received several recognitions including the Friends of the National Institute for Nursing Research President's Award for outstanding research, the Global Alliance for Behavioral Health and Social Justice Award, induction into the Sigma Theta Tau Researchers Hall of Fame, and the American Academy of Nursing Edge Runner award honoring developers of model programs offering solutions to health care challenges. She has served on numerous review and advisory panels for the National Institutes of Health and the National Academy of Medicine.
